| Based on the wallpaper trim depicting safari animals, we've nicknamed this room "The Jungle Room." Someone (stupidly) painted that blue-green color atop existing wallpaper, and the wallpaper is bubbling and/or peeling in spots. More cheap paneling, too. I think we're going to keep the color scheme here and just re-do everything. I also think this will be the easiest carpet to remove to reveal the hardwood floors. This is the only room we don't have plans for … it will either be a guestroom or it may be a little Mahlon's bedroom someday.

| Good Lord, look at these crap colors! The ceiling is turkey-vomit green, the walls are the color of fly shit, and the carpeting is Smurf-snot blue! The trim is purple? Oh my. You know, two of these colors together might be artsy or bold, but all four together make for an eye sore. This is "Heidi's Room," designated by pre-teen handwriting in impossible-to-remove glitter glue on the front door. How any teenybopper girl could survive this odious color scheme is beyond me. This room also features wallpaper that was painted over. Worse still, one of the walls is unfinished, so it's half orange and half purple. This is going to be Art's studio, and he promises he's going to do something even more ridiculous to the room's décor than the present scheme.

| A stairwell in Heidi's Room leads to a finished attic. There's no heat or air conditioning here, so we'll have to use one of our two box units to cool down the room in summer. There's some nice wood shelving in this room, particularly in the corners.

| Art plans to put the ferrets and his computer in the attic. He grew up in an attic room, so this is one of his favorite spots in the house. It's pretty nice … but the previous owner probably kept his cat up here, because the place makes me sneeze like crazy. Desperately in need of a good carpet cleaning.
